Showroom in Berlin
Size: 200 m²
TASK
Based on the concise design of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft's trade fair presentations, there was a desire to design representative spaces in the institutes. The entrance area of the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration (IZM) was intended to make the pioneering work of the research organization tangible.
SOLUTION
FAIRNET planned and designed the entrance area of the IZM in Berlin together with the Berlin-based Fehr-Architektengemeinschaft. The first step is to immerse visitors in the Fraunhofer theme worlds. In the renovated industrial building of the former Siemens factory in Berlin, an attractive, modern presentation area with graphic steles and showcases for the individual research areas of the IZM was created on around 200 square meters. The display cases for the exhibits are characterized by their absolute impermeability to dust and elegant design. They can be easily assembled, dismantled and reconfigured in various configurations, allowing the presentation area to be rearranged flexibly. This means that additional display cases can be used at any time to create new space for individual themed areas or to reduce the space required. The reception area with a round counter, checkrooms and a kitchen were also designed to create a harmonious overall picture.
