TASK

Cologne Bonn Airport is one of the largest commercial airports in Germany. For the world's leading trade fair for the tourism industry, the ITB, a trade fair appearance was to be developed with a high recognition value, which, among other things, integrates and stages the corporate design with its concise pictograms.

SOLUTION

FAIRNET designed an expansive, partially self-supporting textile installation that is reminiscent of the sky and clouds in a broader sense. The use of a substructure made of aluminum elements covered with textile material created a pleasant lightness in the interior. The lighting and the oversized airport abbreviation created an optimal long-distance effect and an interesting atmosphere in the lounge. The various conversation areas and the bar provided ample opportunities for communication between the airport and guests.
